Constituents: proteins-1.2%, carbohydrates-11.6%, calcium, iron, vit.A, vit.B1 and vit.C.
Useful part: roots and seeds.
Quantity: root extract-10-30ml; seed powder-1-3gm.
Uses: in mouth diseases its extract or paste may be used. in ear diseases its hot extract is poured in the ear. in eye diseases its paste is spread over eyes. it is also used in treating piles. it is ojovardhak. its seeds are good aphrodisiac.it is also used to treat skin diseases, heart diseases.
